Beijing Eijerkamp Cuiwei pigeon fancier fraternity in 2008
With 2008 Olympic Games coming, Beijing Eijerkamp held a party for pigeon fanciers from different parts of the country on April 12th.
Fanciers arrived at the venue around 16:00, they signed in and filled out a form. Everyone who took part in this party had chance to win a prize. Fanciers received a free gift of the latest pigeon magazine and lots of discounts.
This fellowship begun at 18:00, beginning with the presenter making an opening statement and introducing the guests. Then the general manager Wang Zhijun gave a warm speech, also other fanciers had some words to say.
The curtain opened with joyful musicperformances. The first program presented to the guests was Sichuan opera and a face-changing artist.This face-changing technique isa national treasure of China and a unique wonder to watch.A fashion show followed along with some comedy, acrobatics, magic, songs and Erren Zhuan (A folk art form popular in the Northeast of China characterized by integrating speaking with dancing and singing). These performances were so hilarious our guest couldn’t help laughing and a good time was had by all.
Lastly, a prize drawing was the highlightat the party. Ten people won the prizes worth 6500RMB for the entry coupons, and a set of beautifully packaged gifts. On the whole, the evening party was a great success.
